Sales slow across the province in November

According to data compiled by the Quebec Professional Association of Real Estate Brokers (QPAREB), 5 684transactions were recorded in the province of Quebec in November 2023, a decrease of 4 per cent. Active listings are up 15 per cent and new listings increased by 8 per cent compared to November 2022.

Regarding the median price, the largest change was for plexes, which increased by 21 per cent. The median price for condominiums increased by 4 per cent and for single-family homes increased by 3 per cent.

Here are the November 2023 median prices for a single-family home in the 7 CMAs along with the variation from November of last year.

  • Montréal: $539,700 (+4 per cent)
  • Gatineau: $425,000 (+1 per cent)
  • Sherbrooke: $379,000 (+10 per cent)
  • Drummondville: $375,000 (+23 per cent)
  • Québec: $360,500 (+4 per cent)
  • Trois-Rivières: $325,000 (+13 per cent)
  • Saguenay: $248,000 (-3 per cent)
